Broccoli Beef

One of my favorite dishes when I go out for dinner is Broccoli Beef. When I was a kid I ordered it every single time and I have never grown tired of it. So I decided to try it in the Instant Pot. I found a great video by Pressure Luck, that was easy to follow and very entertaining. My gauge if a dish is a success or not is if my baby bassets ask for seconds, and in this case they did. I was not as big of a fan, but to be fair it was because I...

Croque Monsieur Mac & Cheese

When you are in the mood for some yummy comfort food and Mac & Cheese is what you are craving then try this awesome recipe. It’s definitely not your box Mac & Cheese. Ingredients   1/2 pound ziti 2 cups milk 2 cups coarsely...

Creamy Butternut Squash Soup

With the rain soaking us pretty hard outside, a warm delicious butternut squash soup is just what I need to warm up my belly. I found it on The Creative Bite,...

Since I really hate cooking, but I have a lot of guilt for not cooking homemade meals for my family, the Instant Pot is the perfect kitchen tool. My poor family gets pretty tired of all the chicken I make badly, so I decided to try pork chops. Again, I hate cooking so the easier the better. This recipe that I pulled together from numerous other recipes is definitely going into the regular rotation in my household. The seller on it was both my boys, who are...

Persimmon Cookies by Julie McMillan

This next little cookie is one that is new to me. My mother in law brought me the news article regarding this year’s cookie contest winner, in Marin County (just south of Sonoma county where I live), by Julie McMillan. Her cookie won this year’s Marin Made Cookie contest using persimmons. I am fortunate enough to have a neighbor who has the most magnificent persimmon tree. When she has persimmons she picks them and leaves them in her front yard next to a can that says 3 for a dollar. This is an amazing price since the ones in...
