My Christmas cookies are done and delivered! Now it’s easy sailing for the rest of the month. Well, except for laundry… that’s still a thing (yuck). This year might be the year for change though. After years of fighting with the cookie press, and losing most if not all the battles, I finally gave up. I had only really been able to get two of the designs to sorta work. I continued to try year after year because it was one of the original cookies that my mom and I made every year when I was young. I also remember my mom struggling with it as well. So this year I threw the cookie press in the trash. Then I asked my baby bassets to take the trash out to the can, then I cleaned up dog poop and threw that in the can as well. So it’s gone gone. I still used the recipe, but instead of the press I rolled them into balls, and added the weird dried-ish red and green cherries in them. I like the way the cherries give the box of cookies that festive pop of color. So much easier!  It is time for change, and this is the year to do it.

The Good Enough Studio: Art Therapy Through the Prism of Space, Matter, and Action
by Nona Orbach
4.8 Stars (14 Reviews)
Genre: Health, Fitness & Dieting

FREE for a limited time

Organize your space in the best way to achieve therapeutic significance.

“The good enough studio” — derived from D.W. Winnicott’s notion of the good enough mother — serves as a safe space where clients, students, and artists find modes of expression and being that unveil their own authenticity and connection to the archaic creativity of humanity.

As a global art therapist and educator, Nona Orbach facilitates this profound alchemy of self-transformation by attending to the nonverbal, intuitive choreography that each individual uses in order to create.

In Orbach’s groundbreaking therapeutic model, the consciously organized studio is a place of acceptance where actions, materials, and the space itself “speak” and guide discovery.
