There is just something very cozy about the days getting colder and the nights longer. Today I will be out in the garden winterizing a few plants and setting my chickies up for the rain that has been visiting us more and more lately. I love visiting the coop when it is raining because they cluck loudly at me as if I am the one splashing water all over them. They are always dry and safe in their coop, but I let the rain in freely in the run area to clean it out and attract a few bugs and worms. Every morning my pup joins me in feeding the chickies, but he hangs back a bit when it rains to avoid the showers and shouts. Maybe he feels guilty he gets to go inside and they don’t.
