I knew I shouldn’t have a piece, but a cut a rather large frosting covered corner piece of cake for myself anyways. My husband and I fight over the corner pieces, and I had just snagged the last corner. Feeling triumphant and a wee bit guilty, I carried my treasure to the table. Unfortunately my large kitty decided he needed to cross my path at that very moment. It flew out of my hands like an angel of sugar and moist sponginess. SPLAT! It was a message for me, and I listened to it for once. Side pieces are just as good as corner pieces.
