I really gotta watch what shows I watch before I go to bed. Apparently shows with ghouls, nuclear blasts, and lots of violence make for pretty bad dreams. The show was fun to watch, and I thought I would be okay. Hubby even warned me that I shouldn’t watch such a show right before bed. My ego said I would be just fine. This morning I am not fine. I had horrible dreams and I am absolutely exhausted. Darn shame there are two seasons of the show and I will be a wreck until I finish both seasons. I am certain I was promised that when I became an adult silly TV shows and movies wouldn’t give me nightmares. Wasn’t that in the pamphlet? I might have to go back and see what they advertised for being an adult. I am getting the feeling I may have been mislead.

I love food. I love everything about it.
My dream has always been to land a job with the Food Network channel, and I’ve spent years as a food critic, blogger, and chef, tasting my way across the South to develop recipes that are a twist on the classics and uniquely my own. When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes calling, I’m shocked to discover I’ve been paired with him, the worst blind date ever — bless his heart, and I’m determined not to let anyone get in my way. So, I buckle my designer heels, tighten my apron, and vow to myself there’s nothing in his playbook that’s going to stop me from tasting success.
Zach Wolff

The Case of the Restless Graves (The Between Agency Book 1)
by Magnolia Murdersworth

Emily Hayes used to be a tenured psychology professor with a corner office and a thriving marriage. Now she’s divorced, unemployed, and living in a shoebox apartment that smells faintly of despair. Her only hobby? Late-night arguments about ghost sightings on a paranormal forum with a woman who reads tarot in dive bars.
That woman — Juniper Quimby — owns exactly one leather jacket, lives out of a van painted with moon phases, and has “commitment issues” tattooed across her entire personality. Together, they’ve decided to reinvent themselves as paranormal investigators (because apparently “financial security” was too mainstream).
Their first big case? A creepy Victorian cemetery being bulldozed to make way for luxury condos. But when the foreman turns up crushed beneath a piece of equipment that was supposed to be locked down, the job goes from spooky to murder-y. Now Emily and Juni have to navigate skeptical cops, construction workers with secrets, and an infuriatingly handsome billionaire developer who may or may not be hiding a body or two under his penthouse floorboards.
And if the cemetery’s ghosts don’t get them, the killer definitely will.
