In two weeks I am completely giving up half of my garden in the backyard. You might think this is hard for me to do, but I am getting to the point where I need to cut back on my Todo list. A lot of the section I am giving up is a piece of the garden I have never really been happy with. Sure it looks good for a few months, but then the rest of the year it’s gross. Hubby has wanted a pond with fish for as long as I have known him, and we are finally doing it. On October 6th construction begins. I am so excited about picking out rocks. YAY ROCKS!!

A simple scribe meets a destiny he cannot deny as an ancient power awakens.
Jareth Isarn, once destined for a life of quiet scribing and glyph maintenance, now finds himself on the edge of the Outlands, where danger and power intermingle. His role is essential but uneventful, offering a semblance of safety and stability.
But Jareth’s life on the border is about to be upended. An enigmatic power in the Outlands draws him into a world where his skills with glyphs are just the beginning. The routine of maintaining the glyph stones, the camaraderie of fellow soldiers, and the predictable dangers of the fringe are soon overshadowed by an ancient magic awakening at the boundary.
As Jareth confronts powers beyond his understanding and faces a potential he never anticipated, his journey demands more than the knowledge of glyphs. To protect his family, to navigate the complex web of ancient secrets, and to confront a force that even the elite Detharn soldiers struggle against, Jareth must embrace a new path.
No longer just a scribe, and more than a mage, he must find the power of the dragon.

by Amy Cross
(336 Reviews)
FREE for a limited time
In a world where perfection is mandatory, everyone is guilty.
In the near future, every lie, every misstep, every minor infraction is recorded. The system is always watching, and once your score gets too high, you vanish – sent to labor camps under the government’s control.
Or you can choose the island. A one-way trip. No return, no rescue, no rules.
Iris Bloom never broke the law – or so she thought. But when she’s arrested for crimes she didn’t know about, she invokes her right to exile. She thinks she’s escaping a nightmare. Instead, she’s entering a war zone.
The island is lawless. Brutal. Overrun by violence and ruled by the strongest. Amid the chaos, a fragile hope is emerging – a group trying to build a new society from the ruins. But survival means facing the island’s most savage inhabitants: cannibals with a taste for domination.
How do you build a better world when hell is your foundation?
And in a place built on blood, can redemption even exist?
