Is she a girl or a crow? Benita the Bird Girl insists that she’s a crow who can transform into a girl. Her new human friend Ben isn’t so sure. Still he’s excited to join Benita’s Bird Club and meet new friends. Unknown to Ben and Benita, another boy wants to join, too. He’s sometimes a Great-horned Owl, an enemy to crows everywhere! Benita will not accept this “Owl Boy,” but the club members insist otherwise. And it’s a good thing because Owen the Owl Boy will become fast friends with Benita. And together they will search for answers to explain their abilities to transform. Their search begins as adventures in the club members’ own backyards. Yet it quickly expands into a “fickle forest” that leads them wherever it wants them to go. And none are prepared for their destination or the truths uncovered along the way. The Bird Club is a developing serial chapter book series of seven books. Book seven, the last in this ongoing story, is scheduled for release in November 2025.
