I have a few plants in the yard who just aren’t trying hard enough to grow. It has nothing to do with me. I am NOT the reason they are failing. Today I will go out to the garden and give them a pep talk, but after that it really is all up to them. On a completely separate note. I know I shouldn’t, and I have absolutely no room right now, but I am in the mood to buy a little planty plant.

A family worth fighting for.

Wynter is struggling to find her place in the world. Confined by foster care rules, baffled by social norms, she turns to the only thing she understands: the raw, rebellious power of music. Assembling a rock band of misfits teaches her more about life than any classroom.

Her brothers are dealing with their own problems – their father’s impending marriage, their troubled love lives, their little sister’s impossible foster mother. And when it comes to Wynter, each takes a unique approach. Jesse thinks brutal honesty and physics can solve any problem. Caleb is still playing by the rules when he should be breaking them. Only Indio truly recognizes the pain she hides… because he feels it, too.

Day by day, Wynter’s spirit grows stronger as she builds her new identity in defiance of expectations. But when the world refuses to bend to her will, she takes drastic action to achieve her ultimate goal: the united family she longs for.

Cherringham – a quiet town in the Cotswolds. Nothing ever happens there, or so it seems – until one morning a woman’s body is found in the river. A terrible accident, according to the police. But is this true? Sarah believes there must be more to it. In Jack, a former NYPD homicide detective, she finds a partner who is willing to start investigating with her. They soon find out that things are not as clear as the police want them to be… This first – of many cases brings Sarah and Jack together in an unlikely partnership.

Cherringham is a serial novel à la Charles Dickens, with a new mystery thriller released each month. Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly – but with a spot of tea – it’s like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa.
