Oh so so crunchy. I’m pretty sure I said that right. Last week I put in an application for a thrift store I absolutely love. I really like the people there and they always have the coolest treasures. I was beyond nervous to hand over my application. How awful if the place I love rejects me? Oh gosh. They did call me back for an interview yesterday, so that is a good sign. But if they say no after getting to know me better feels like it would be even worse. ERG! I thought at this point in my life I wouldn’t still be putting in applications to places. The good thing is my oldest has been submitting applications for jobs as well, so it’s nice to have someone to commiserate with. YAY! Bonding time with my baby. I’m going to milk this one for as long as I can.

Tabby Hayes
by C.J. Petit
4.4 Stars (5,919 Reviews)

FREE for a limited time

Tabby rode out of the Slant 6 after having spent more than four years working on the big spread. He wasn’t mad or even disappointed. It was just the way of life for a cowhand.
The last three years of low prices for cattle had finally forced the boss to sell too much of his big herd to keep so many men. It also meant it would be difficult for him to find a new job. Being a cowhand was all he knew, and it was a life that he enjoyed. He had no real responsibilities and unlike most of the other men, he had no ambitions to have his own ranch or even becoming a foreman.
As he approached the town of Watson, he expected to just have himself a good meal and maybe spend the night in a soft bed before continuing his search for that elusive job.
Five minutes after entering the town, he was racing out the other end after ducking pistol shots. He glanced behind him and knew that the posse they were forming would chase him down and hang him. He didn’t know why, but he knew they wouldn’t give him the chance to defend himself either.

Delicate Balance: A Romance (The Blair Brothers Book 1)
by Brooke St. James
4.5 Stars (1,265 Reviews)

FREE for a limited time

I knew the Blair brothers. It was impossible to grow up in Astoria and not be familiar with them. There were four boys in the Blair family, and all of them had that certain something.

They were smart, athletic, funny, and gorgeous. If I was forced to pick my favorite, it would have to be Henry. He was the wild one of the bunch — a rock star. Literally.

He left Astoria years ago to chase and realize his dreams in Seattle. I still saw his younger brothers quite a bit, but it had been years since I’d seen Henry. That all changed one night when the Blair family came into the restaurant where I worked and sat at my table. Henry just so happened to be with them.

I always imagined that he might be the man of my dreams, but after that night, I knew it.

But his heart belongs to Ellie, the West Virginia farm girl who slips a silver St. Andrew’s Cross around his neck: a trail mark of love meant to guide him home.

Inspired by true events, The Tenth Trail Mark is a sweeping novel of courage, sacrifice, and a love strong enough to light even the darkest ascent.
