Thanksgiving is the BEST holiday. While its mostly about the food.. (Ya ya, and being grateful… but pumpkin pie! Amirite?) It is also great because you don’t really need to do a whole lot of decorating. A pumpkin here and there, maybe a turkey dressed like a chef. HILARIOUS! Good stuff. I go nuts decorating the house for Halloween and Christmas, so the break in between with Thanksgiving is brilliant. This gives me plenty of time to spend making myself crazy trying to figure out what to get people for Christmas.

Medicine Man (Heartstone Series Book 1)

Genre: Romance

Willow Taylor lives in a castle with large walls and iron fences. But this is no ordinary castle. It’s called Heartstone Psychiatric Hospital and it houses forty other patients. It has nurses with mean faces and techs with permanent frowns.

It has a man, as well. A man who is cold and distant. Whose voice drips with authority. And whose piercing gray eyes hide secrets, and maybe linger on her face a second too long.

Willow isn’t supposed to look deep into those eyes. She isn’t supposed to try to read his tightly-leashed emotions. Neither is she supposed to touch herself at night, imagining his powerful voice and that cold but beautiful face.

No, Willow Taylor shouldn’t be attracted to Simon Blackwood at all.

Because she’s a patient and he’s her doctor. Her psychiatrist.

The medicine man.

Lani should never have trusted any plan that started with the words, “So, I have an idea, but first you need a drink.”

When a crazy Precog handed Lani the coordinates to a stretch of ocean just off the Salt Spire, she should have thrown them overboard. Going there would be a horrible idea. Lani, though, was a pro at making bad decisions.

A not-so-chance encounter with escaped salt slave Adavera launches them on a path to forsake all that they know and dare to take on the cruel Corporation that controls every grain of salt on their planet. With the help of old friends, new friends, and people they are pretty sure might be enemies, Adavera and Lani travel outside the protective reef that keeps the worst of the Storms off the Islands and venture into a world of piracy, astonishing powers, and unexpected love.

The odds might be against them, but with a little planning and a lot of brass, this team of misfits intends to do the impossible. They have very little in common, except for two things:

They all want to blow the Crystal Corporation into oblivion…

And are willing to sacrifice anything to see it done.

NACL: Eye of the Storm is a high-octane, non-stop, foul mouthed and steamy roller-coaster of a novel. Grab your favorite bottle of rum and revolutionary spirit, and jump into the ride of a lifetime.

“Entrancing, mystical” -BlueInk Reviews

For the last two hundred years, immortal anti-hero Dalia has laid low. At night, she protects her clan by monitoring the shared world of dreams, known as the Dreaming. In the bayous of Louisiana, Dalia and the Others are safely hidden away. But their enemies, the Aion, will leave no stone unturned in their hunt for a long-lost asset, the Angel of Death.

Then comes Titus, a carefree immortal who shares Dalia’s ability to walk through the Dreaming. Soon after moving to Louisiana, his gift catches the attention of the Aion, who are eager to use his gifts in the hunt to find the Angel of Death.

As Dalia and her clan are propelled into an imminent conflict with the Aion, her bond with Titus deepens. But the closer the pair drift, the more dangerous their mission becomes. In the Dreaming, subconscious thoughts and feelings often manifest whether a dreamer wills it or not, and there’s a reason Dalia has spent the past two hundred years laying low…

But even for immortals, time runs out.

Spanning continents and centuries, The Decagon Series follows the turbulent life of immortal anti-hero Dalia through two timelines, one linear and one counter-linear. The series upends traditional fantasy romance themes; immortals come from all cultures rather than Europe alone and the ‘powerful, jaded immortal’ is female instead of male.
