Besides the huge excitement of getting the opportunity to catch another swarm last night I had another huge event take place. I was stung by a bee for the first time! Three years of working with bees, and just living on this planet for a good number of years, and I have never been stung by a bee. CRAZY!!! She got me right on the face! It hurt a little, but I was so excited about the swarm I didn’t really care. I am glad I got that out of the way though. I had been so worried about how painful it would be to be stung, that I was sure it would be a lot more painful than it actually was. Fear of the unknown was making it way worse for me. I am relieved to know that the bees don’t think I am too evil to sting. That was my explanation for never having been stung. So now I know.
