My poor family. Once again I am getting the urge to make something. It would be cool if I had any talent, but I don’t. Add to that, I also lack quite a bit of patience, so anything I make starts out okay-ish, but goes downhill fast. Usually my family has to look at something that really never had a chance to begin with, but I was too stubborn to quit. Now it’s in the yard and I will ask a thousand times if they like it. They are sweet. They say yes, but quickly regret it when I say I am going to make another one. Why would I make another one? I didn’t fully enjoy making the first one, so why go through the pain again? I will tell you… I like balance. I can’t have just one ugly thing in the yard. It has to have a buddy. Three is a good number to have because it’s a group, but after the second ugly thing I have usually learned my lesson and quit. Even if I don’t like it myself, I will leave it in the yard for a proper amount of time to justify the amount of money I spent to make it. Throw in any time that hubby had to spend helping me and it could be in the yard for a good year. I really wish sometimes that we had a racoon problem that either destroyed or stole stuff out of our yard. It certainly would make my life a lot easier.

True love is put to the ultimate test. Till death us do part just got real.

The run down neighborhood looks even worse this rainy Detroit evening. When Sandra’s car suddenly breaks down it’s like a terrible joke. Especially since her eight-year-old son is also in the car.

The fact that a notorious biker club is housed just across the street wouldn’t normally improve on the situation. But this time it’s different. Suddenly he stands there. Same old boots but the biker vest is new. It’s many years since they split, but Trace looks himself. Almost. His eyes are deeper, darker. No fine lines or gray. It’s as if age and time never bothered with him. He’s a handsome man with a luscious aura that almost asks to be tasted. She’s spent almost a decade missing him. She still does.

Sandra looks like an angel. The flowing blonde hair and cornflower blue eyes make her curvy body look as stunning as ever. He had left because he couldn’t burden her anymore with the weight of his demons. A decision that still haunts him. An instant chill travels through every muscle in his powerful body when he lays eyes on the kid. It’s like looking at a ghost of himself at that age.

Why did he ever choose a destructive lifestyle over a woman who could have been his everything? The only woman he has ever loved.

Enough is enough. He wants out. Get his life together. A new start. Would she let him? The club prez will certainly not be pleased. Other bikers have died for less.

Good Heart interweaves the stories of a Jewish family and a Christian family over three generations. Bobby Langford and Danny Baranson lead classic American childhoods together in small-town Indiana in the 1960s and 70s.
