I can’t wait until I can once again live in a world where I do not have to worry about giving away spoilers for Avengers- End game, or where I am avoiding spoilers for Game of Thrones. I can’t live like this much longer. I am the worst when it comes to secrets. My friends know this about me, so unless they give me very specific instructions not to tell, as soon as they leave the room I am blabbing it to my hubby. I am pretty sure it was written in our wedding vows that we tell any secrets that we are given by our friends. I am darn good at keeping the secret location of my candy from hubby. It’s only other people’s secrets that I can’t keep. It’s usually pretty safe for me to tell him secrets, because he doesn’t really care about them and doesn’t find them as much fun. This is a bad thing as well because any secrets he is told by other people he usually forgets. He is a terrible source for secrets. I promised there would be no spoilers here, but in person, time is running out. One more week and then I am spilling my guts about Avengers.

You know, being friends with two cute boys does have its benefits.

There’s Danny. Danny is a golden boy in every way. He has dreamy blue eyes and blonde hair that always looks perfect, even when it’s windblown or been stuck under a football helmet. He’s the boy every girl crushes on. The boy I get into trouble with, the boy I fight with, the hot quarterback no girl can resist. Being with Danny is like being on an adventure. He has a bright, contagious smile and abs to die for.

Equally crush worthy is Phillip. Adorable, sweet Phillip, who I have known since birth. Phillip has dark hair, a perfect smile, brown eyes, and the sexiest voice I have ever heard. He’s the boy I talk to every night before I go to sleep. The boy who rescues me, the boy who can read my mind, the boy who is always there for me, the boy who tries to keep me out of trouble, the boy who irritatingly keeps getting hotter, and whose strong arms always seem to find their way around me. And when he gives me that grin, I can never say no.

One boy will give me my very first kiss.
One boy will teach me to make out.
One boy will take me to prom.
And finally, one boy will ask me to marry him.
They will both be my best friends.
But only one of them will be the boy I fall in love with.
Only one of them is That Boy.

If you’re a football fan, love small town romance, and cute boys next door, you’ll love the That Boy series.

by David Pilling
3.9 Stars (58 Reviews)
Genre: War | Historical Fiction

FREE for a limited time

Historical action adventure in the style of Bernard Cornwell and Rosemary Sutcliffe, the Leader of Battles series breathes new life into Arthurian legend…
“My father was a warrior. He bade me fight… ”

Britain, 427 AD. Rome has abandoned the province, leaving it exposed to waves of barbarian invasions. To the west, savage pirates from Hibernia ravage the coastline. In the north, the crumbling defences of the Wall cannot contain marauding bands of Picts as they sweep down from the highlands. Worst of all are the Saxons, the dreaded sea-wolves. Under their chiefs, Hengist and Horsa, they wish to drive out the native Britons and claim the entire island for their own.

Attacked from all sides, the Britons find a champion in the form of Ambrosius Aurelianus, the last of the Romans. A modest man, riddled with doubts and fears, Ambrosius reluctantly takes on the mantle of Dux Bellorum, Leader of Battles. Placed in command of Britain’s only standing army, he fights to preserve the dwindling light of civilisation while the treacherous High King, Vortigern, plots his destruction.

Set before the coming of Arthur, the first book of the Leader of Battles trilogy charts the rise and fall of post-Roman Britain’s first great hero, and his desperate struggle to hold back the shadows threatening to engulf his country.

Rebel.
Outlaw.
Hero.

Exiled for an unjust crime and forced to use whatever means necessary to survive, a figure of hope emerges from Sherwood Forest.

But what most people know about Robin Hood (the enemy of Prince John and nobleman loyal to King Richard) was an invention of a playwright nearly three hundred years after Robin Hood died.

However, there are older stories about the real Robin Hood.

USA Today bestselling author Kate Danley weaves the original 13th century ballads, Robin Hood traditions passed down through ancient pagan rites, and historical evidence together into a swashbuckling epic fantasy. Enter a world of adventure and chivalry as you discover the man behind the myth, as you meet the Olde Robin Hood.
