With my oldest basset off at camp for a full five days, just down the road, I am feeling quite a bit anxious. I find this extremely annoying since last year the class went to Yosemite. I can’t understand why I was a lot cooler for that trip than I am for this one. Maybe because I blanked out the Yosemite trip. I know he went, but for the life of me I can’t remember anything else that week. Mommy amnesia. I always thought that was brought on by mommy drinks, but it seems I was mistaken. Much like I was mistaken for sending my baby off to camp so far far away (in the next town) with strangers (literally with the kids he goes to school with, plays basketball and football with). What kind of mom does that to their BABY (literally all the other parents of all the kids that are at the camp with him)?????
