My poor little Junebug. The whole time Hubby and I are tearing up the back lawn, she is sitting on her favorite patch of lawn in the corner. Anytime she is outside she loves to sit on her favorite little corner and watch the world go by while soaking up a bit of sun. Usually she has a more content look on her face. This time she just looks worried. I might leave that one little patch for her. The shock of what I had done to the backyard is starting to wear off. I was starting to doubt my life choices, but them it occurred to me that I would never have to mow the back lawn again. That right there makes it worth it. After the first rains I had fenced off the lawn because if anyone walked on it, it would turn into a mud pit. We can’t use a huge section of the yard for a good portion of the year. What’s the point then of having a nice backyard if you can’t enjoy it? Today I am off to work, but hubby gets to stay home, so I asked him to cut the tree in the back corner down. That one I didn’t want to be around for. Unfortunately the shade and placement is just too limiting for me. Plus it leans too much.

The Trouble In Dogflat Hollow
by Cameron Sword
4.5 Stars (16 Reviews)
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy | Fantasy | Religious & Inspirational Fiction | Science Fiction

FREE for a limited time

A gritty and mildly irreverent satire detailing a shocking account of how the Earth was nearly annihilated on January 1, 1990. Some of the names have been changed in order to further protect the privacy of fictitious persons involved. Other names, including those belonging to Biblical personalities, have also been changed in order to safeguard and preserve formal reputations.

A pair of Biblical figures descended into an unsavory Los Angeles neighborhood, tasked with locating and redeeming the worst soul on the planet, hoping their efforts, if successful, might help convince the Universe’s Chief Executive Officer to cancel or delay Earth’s scheduled demise. They were clearly warned that their efforts should, in no way, interfere with that outcome, unaware that their endeavor – and that outcome – were indelibly linked.

The tone of the novel, described cinematically, might be as follows: If you dropped ‘Oh God’ and ‘The Big Lebowski’ into a blender at puree speed, the contents might emulsify into The Trouble In Dogflat Hollow.

Bounty Hunter Rancor Maleficent: Western Adventure (Gunslinger Series Book 1)
by Ash Lingam
4.3 Stars (13 Reviews)
Genre: Literature & Fiction | Classics | Westerns | Romance

FREE for a limited time

(Book 1 of 4 Books of the Gunslinger Series”) Bounty Hunters were a part of the historical Old West. A profession that has been written about and depicted in novels and movies for decades. Ash Lingam’s “Bounty Hunter Rancor Maleficent” is the first book in the Gunslinger Series, written in a style influenced by Sergio Leone and the spaghetti western films of the period.
Rancor Maleficent is one of these men. Trading dollars for bodies as he hunts outlaws down for their reward. Assisted by Roberto, the duo of man-hunters travel the California Territories in the late 1800’s, taking the law into their own hands. Hunting down men of reckless blood for a living. Rancor, already a legend due to his violent nature, with his humor afflicted accomplice, Roberto Rodriguez, in their quest to trade flesh for cash. Like most bounty hunters, looking for an easy way to make a living even if it involves risking their lives in exchange. Or perhaps it is the very nature of the profession that attracts recklessly bold men. The two men are on the hunt for three ex-sheriffs, a four-fingered outlaw and an ex-Texas Ranger. Men who had strayed across the fine gray line between the law and the outlaw. Action, humor, and a good dose of lead makes this new series one of Lingams best.
