I am really sad that you can’t hug a bee. They are so cute and fuzzy, so you should be able to. It just seems wrong not to be able to hug a bee. I wonder if the first guy to come across a bear tried to hug it. It looks pretty cute as well.

A DARK CRIME THRILLER SET IN THE UNDERBELLY OF DETROIT’S GANGLAND

“Who am I? You don’t need to know. I don’t tell anyone my name, not even with a sack over my head and a gun to my skull. Consider yourself lucky. If I told you who I am and why I’m in Detroit, I’d have to kill you. Why? Because that’s who I am… a killer.

What do I hope to achieve? Let’s just say that still breathing tomorrow is good enough. I’ve lied, cheated, and killed in nearly every city in the world. Detroit will be no different. Nothing stands in my way, because I’m ready to die. That’s my edge.

Did you buy all that? I used to. But I don’t know who I am any more. Not since I met her, anyway. People change. Maybe even me. Or maybe I’m lying to both of us.”

ONE THING IS TRUE. DETROIT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

My Father’s War: Memories from Our Honored WWII Soldiers
by Charley Valera
4.8 Stars (30 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs

FREE for a limited time

An incredible first-hand collection of eyewitness testimonies from WWII veterans, soldiers, sailors and airmen who beat back the bile in their throats to do their duties and complete their dangerous missions. It’s a stark reminder of the greatest generation that we came from. Showing their daily life — by example — of patriotism, sacrifice, and bravery. The veterans of World War II stood up and saved the weak from the strong, even when they were scared, hungry and tired of fighting.

These are the missing stories, the ones we should have asked and didn’t, the ones they should have told us about, but chose not to. Our answers to the questions are in here — hundreds of their stories and personal photographs that’ll leave you understanding more about our fathers, grandfathers, uncles and the nice old man next door with the American flag in his yard.

While serving a purpose higher than themselves, the men and women within this collection of stories built America into the superpower it is today. We need to remember that. We need to honor that. We need to honor them.
