Everything that makes me uncomfortable right now can be blamed on the weather. There are way too many flies bugging about. It’s because of the weather. I feel so tired all the time. They tell me they weather is causing that to. I ran out of milk. The weather prevented me from going to the store and getting more milk. STUPID WEATHER! Why doesn’t the weather ever cause me to have awesome hair or maybe lose a few pounds? I think the weather is also making it hard for me to get up in the morning. It’s not at all because I have been watching too many episodes of Game of Thrones. I finally caved in and started watching it. Four seasons in and I am still not sure if I am a fan or not. I blame my indecision on the weather. Winter must be coming.

The Killing of Bobbi Lomax (Wonderland Crime Series Book 1)

Genre: Biographies & Memoirs | Mystery

The Killing of Bobbi Lomax is an explosive, intelligent and gripping thriller that takes you deep into an underworld of religious cults and high stakes counterfeiting. The story hurtles along with great pace and panache and the dialogue is superb and surprising. A high-pitched, dream-fevered brilliant debut novel from a writer we’ll no doubt be hearing lots from. (Stav Sherez, author of A DARK REDEMPTION and ELEVEN DAYS)

Moriarty writes with a real flair for dynamic action, detail and pace. The Killing of Bobbi Lomax is an evocative, original novel. Noirish, modern, with a dry comic edge. (Laline Paull, author of THE BEES)

‘The Killing of Bobbi Lomax is an ambitious crime novel… Well done Cal Moriarty, for concocting a clever crime cocktail with so many unusual ingredients.’ (Thriller Books Journal)

by Helen Wang
4.6 Stars (3 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs

FREE for a limited time

The rusty bicycle on the book cover had accompanied a rural Chinese family for 47 years. Helen Wang was born in a remote and poor village in northern China. She grew up with this bicycle. Her Dad rode this bicycle, and she was sitting at the front and back many times. As the bicycle aged, Helen’s dreams evolved: from simply dreaming of candies, fruits, and a shining bicycle, to something bigger. In 1981, she went to a college in Beijing, and that opened her eyes. In 1996, she came to U.S. to pursue her dreams. This bicycle carried her parents’ love, family legacy, and the Chinese history of the last five decades. This is her story, in her words. A Chinese American looked back at the journey of her family in a fresh and unique way.
