We are only going to be gone for four days camping, but by the chaos that is happening you would think we were leaving for a year. I’m so exhausted from all the packing and getting the house ready that It will take me the full trip to recover. Of course camping is hardly relaxing. Everything you normally do in the comfort of your home is just a little bit harder when camping. The set-up alone will wipe you out. Then there is the cooking, dragging the kids and all their gear to the shore to swim, and dealing with so many bugs. Somehow though, with all that work I walk away from these trips with such wonderful memories. Okay…all the work is worth it. I will stop complaining.
