We are officially “Bee Nerds”. My partner in crime and I can’t even help it anymore. Anyone who even mentions bees gets an earful of awesome facts from us whether or not they want it. We told ourselves that we were not going to get obsessed with our bees, but it’s just so hard not to. They are such fascinating little creatures. I was checking on the bees yesterday to make sure everything was good and refill their feeder tray, when I caught myself just staring at them. They are completely mesmerizing. The wasn’t any drama going on, it was just business as usual. I watched as the bees were coming back from their travels, legs heavy with pollen (“Pollen Pants” as they are called…it’s a real thing) making their way through the crowd, getting check in by the guard at the entrance. I could have sat there all day watching them.
