Sitting outside watching the baby chicks stretch their wings, I noticed something disturbing. My garden lacks any sort of imagination. It’s bland. I have spent so much time making it chicken proof that all the creativity is completely washed out of it. I had purchased a blue garden gnome from the dollar section at Target (for $3.00…um I thought this was the dollar section) and tested out different places to put him. Every place I tried, he looked like a giant blue dot in the middle of Blandsville. Meh! It could be that everything look bland because the weather has been dark and rainy, but I get the feeling it’s actually boring. Maybe more gnomes are needed.
