The baby chicks have graduated to a bigger tote, and they have been moved from inside the house to the garage. They are growing up! Okay, Iggy is not really growing up. She is more like growing cuter, but not bigger. The others are about half feather, half fuzz and little Iggy is still about 90% fuzzy, but still 100% cute and sweet. I think she is going to make it, but I am still cautious. The horrible mean internet says that they often make it a few weeks, but some do pass despite all your efforts. Ya, thanks internet you are a real pick me up. I often half to just walk away from the internet and take a breath because it can be a real downer. I will say though, it is a great place I can go to for unlimited kitten and bunny videos, and that is always relaxing. Those silly kitties!

The first THREE complete novels in this series: A Dead Red Cadillac, A Dead Red Heart, and A Dead Red Oleander

Here’s what reviewers are saying: A Dead Red Cadillac: “A Dead Red Cadillac may be Dahlke’s first published work, but it doesn’t read that way; the author is assured in her storytelling, crafting a witty, breezy, and thoroughly-entertaining lark peppered with interesting characters in a unique setting… and even tossing in some (much-appreciated) surprising twists along the way Wise-cracking detectives–from the rank amateurs who somehow stumble into the practice of investigating, to the licensed professionals with their fancy gizmos and snazzy Yellow Pages listings–are a dime a dozen in mystery novels… but a wise-cracking, ex-fashion-model, crop-dusting sleuth? That puts a quirky new spin on the genre, in R.P. Dahlke’s peppy debut, A Dead Red Cadillac”. KittyGlam (Diana)

When the Earth is reduced to a smoking crater, the only thing left to do is turn back the clock.

Lily Snow, granddaughter of Death and one of the most powerful magical beings on Earth, knows that her daughter most likely won’t survive in this timeline, so she gives her life to create another. No one remembers the war between humanity and magical beings, and humanity has become altogether blissfully unaware of magic. Freya Snow, now a sarcastic, awkward, probably-autistic teenager, has spent her whole life moving from foster home to foster home, wanting nothing more than to start living her life, rather than being stuck in the stasis of high school. But when the ghost of her mother’s mentor appears to protect her from the demons hunting her, she finds that she should have been careful with her wish for change. The world is a dangerous place, and a pup without a pack is nothing but prey.

HUNT is a YA urban fantasy novel with a dash of sci-fi. It is the first book in the Freya Snow series.
