It is without a doubt that March madness has begun. Except it started yesterday with the baby basset’s in mini plays at the school and a fantastic Leap Year birthday party that ran well past my bedtime. To be honest though my bedtime is seven, so it wasn’t actually all that late. I can’t really claim it as my bedtime either because I rarely actually get to bed that early. It really is just the time my brain shuts off and I am on my own to function. At seven each night my brain calls it quits and I am left with a bunch of white noise. I am brilliant all day (in my head only), but as soon as seven hits, it’s lights out. Sometimes my brain wakes up the next morning, looks around and wonders what the heck my body was doing the night before. Fortunately for us I just did a little decorating for Easter. I panicked last night when I realized that Easter was coming up fast and I didn’t want to miss out on having a house full of Easter Bunnies. I am not sure why I felt so compelled to decorate while exhausted, but my brain learned years ago not to question it too much.
