I am so easily manipulated. The news said there would be a pumpkin shortage and that canned pumpkins would be hard to find. I ran out immediately and bought a few cans. I never actually use canned pumpkins, but I was sure if they didn’t have them I would need them. I put them right next to the five year old cans I already had in the cupboard. There was another rumor that there would be a turkey shortage because of the avian flu. I ran out immediately again (apparently I do actually run a bit) and bought my turkey. Still plenty in the stores now. Hmmph! BUT…no one said that this year the Lego Advent Calendars would be so popular and that they would run out a week before Thanksgiving. WHAT??!!! They never run out! This year they did and I missed them. Now my poor baby bassets will feel unloved. Oh well…here’s some candy kids.

When a princess turns eighteen, she is not supposed to sneak away from her own birthday celebration with the first handsome prince she meets. But Pippa is not just any princess, and there is nothing she enjoys more than a moonlit ride through the woods. When King Ewan catches Pippa, he orders her to spend twelve days of confinement in the castle. This is an inconvenience for the princess, considering thirty princes and lords have come from all across the Kingdoms of Elden to fight in a tournament for her hand in marriage. Not willing to stand idly by while her fate is being decided, Pippa enlists the help of her childhood friend Archer, master archer of the kingdom. Together they make a pact to do everything in their power to ensure Galinor’s victory in the tournament. But as the events progress and the stakes get higher and higher, Pippa and Archer are forced to not only confront marauding bandits, angry dragons, and King Ewan’s wrath, but also the growing attraction between them…
