No rest for the wicked and bruised today. I barely have my bags unpacked from this weekend’s trip and now I have to get ready for our annual family camping trip. Yesterday I cried a little trying to fold laundry. Every part of my body hurts from Tough Mudder, and this morning isn’t much better. The real kicker is that after I have moved around a bit, my muscles don’t hurt quite so much, so I have to keep moving. If I stop the stiffness comes back. My partner in crime has suggested that for next year’s Tough Mudder we should do more hiking as well as jogging. I think I am going to master hiding under the bed when she comes around.

The government can do anything they want to him—anything at all…

Mark Taylor knows his actions scream guilty—but he was only trying to stop the horrible terrorist attack. Instead of a thank you, the government labels him an enemy combatant and throws him in the brig with no rights, no trial, and no way to prove his innocence.

He’s just a regular guy—a photographer—who finds himself in an extraordinary situation when an antique camera he buys at a dusty Afghanistan bazaar produces photographs of future tragedies. Tragedies he’s driven to prevent.

His frantic warnings about September 11th are ignored but put him in the government cross-hairs where he learns what being labeled an ‘enemy combatant’ really means…

The Invisible Man is a science fiction novella by H. G. Wells published in 1897. Originally serialised in Pearson’s Weekly in 1897, it was published as a novel the same year. The Invisible Man of the title is Griffin, a scientist who has devoted himself to research into optics and invents a way to change a body’s refractive index to that of air so that it absorbs and reflects no light and thus becomes invisible. He successfully carries out this procedure on himself, but fails in his attempt to reverse the procedure. While its predecessors, The Time Machine and The Island of Doctor Moreau, were written using first-person narrators, Wells adopts a third-person objective point of view in The Invisible Man.
