No coconut oil in your coffee! NO! NO! Oh gosh that’s disgusting. It’s even worse than the time I put coconut oil in my oatmeal, and that felt like I was eating Slimer from Ghost Busters! I had actually felt like I had captured Slimer, squeezed him into my oatmeal, swooshed him around (despite his screaming for help and clawing to get out of the bowl), added a few raisins and ate him. That’s what that tasted like, and it was better than the coffee. Oh gosh… I will not recover from that one at all.

Infertility stinks. No one knows that better than Megan. After six years of insanity-inducing hormone drugs and desperate prayers, all she has to show for her efforts are enough negative pregnancy tests to fill a bassinet. All around her women are accidentally getting pregnant–like her star piano student–while Megan remains hopelessly barren. Megan’s never felt so alone. But she’s not the only one struggling.

Christina has just entered the world of infertility, made worse by the fact her husband isn’t ready to be a father. Their marriage, already hanging in the balance, is being torn apart.

Then there’s Kyra, the mother of a precocious three-year-old. She’s shocked to be struggling with secondary infertility. A baby is priceless, but sometimes Kyra feels like she’s being forced to choose which commandment to keep: stay out of debt, or multiply and replenish the earth.

When Megan and Christina are assigned as Kyra’s visiting teachers, they all realize that what you see isn’t necessarily what’s beneath the surface. Some secrets aren’t worth the cost of keeping them.

Genre: Sports | Coming of Age

FREE for a limited time

A tender tale of coming-of-age meets baseball heroes. Who wouldn’t want to be in that kid’s cleats when two of sports’ greatest legends move in next door?

In the summer of 1961 a Little League player’s joy of making the All-Star team evaporates when his father, too busy with a girlfriend, misses his triumphant opening game, and his mother spirals into a bed-ridden depression. Then, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle move next door as they battle to break Babe Ruth’s home run record.

Based on historical facts, The M&M Boys explores the parallel lives of an embittered Maris and a self-destructive Mantle who live together incognito in a remote Queens apartment. Maris, a misplaced Midwesterner, gets booed by the Yankee fans who prefer Mantle, and the press pursue him mercilessly. Mantle, on the other hand, basks in New York fans approval, but a series of injuries destroy his hope of winning the competition. Marshall’s friendship unearths childhood memories for both men. What all three M&M Boys have in common is a good lesson in how to play the game of life, on and off the field.
