With Heather being broody and not laying any eggs I am becoming increasingly desperate for eggs. I eat them too fast. This morning I only had one egg left and that just won’t do. I went to the coop to see if I could shake another egg out of one them, and like magic there was a fresh egg waiting for me. They must have heard me coming because it wasn’t there an hour earlier. I am torn though. Since Heather has gone broody she has morphed into a Tribble, and that is just about the cutest thing in the world, but I need my eggs. I can not get distracted with the chicken thing today though. It’s time to sneak another pumpkin into the front yard.

I’m not like the other girlygigs in Cityplace; I’m a bringer. I can sing to the only animals left in NotsoGreatBritAlbion and make them land. Adara, catcher of birds -that’s what they call me and that’s what I can do.

Now that the Agros have cut supplies and folk are near starved, I’d best keep shutums about my name though, or everyone will want a piece of me. I’d best creep and peep all stealthy-like to track down my bro-bro, snatched by Agro scum for who knows what.

Good job I’m trained inS.A.N.T. ways too, for I’ll need all my roughhouse skills to keep the Agro spies, Nearly’s and wolfies at bay until I find and bring home my bro and all the other missing Meeks.

I just wish I knew who or what is following my every move.

—–

In this unsettling and mysterious vision of the future, animals are almost extinct and humans are subjugated by the sinister and secretive Agros; nothing is as it seems. And 17-year-old Adara must use all her courage and power battling against evil forces to save herself and those she loves.

This is a coming of age tale with a difference. The inventive slang-derived language creates a fresh and dynamic style to create a truly compelling world inhabited by characters such as Clonies, Nearlymen, and S.A.N.T.S.

“Looking For Gluten Free, Grain Free Delicious Paleo Halloween Treats That are Easy To Prepare and That Your Kids Will Love?”

An Allergy-free, Whole Foods Halloween Treat Book Designed by a Mom for Health Conscious and Food Sensitive Parents and Children.

Did you know that five commercially made ‘fun-size’ candy bars contain between 9 and 11 teaspoons of sugar? Or that new and improved Smarties containing no artificial flavors or colors, use bug carcasses to make the pigment in their red smarties?

Terrifying isn’t a word used only to describe Halloween’s ghoulish fun, it is also a word some food sensitive families use to describe the treats given out during traditional Halloween celebrations.

Trying to find treats that don’t contain common allergens like soy, processed sugar, food dyes and gluten can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack – not to mention all the other nasties found in common treats.

We as parents know how important it is to monitor what’s in our children’s food, and help them make better food choices. There’s no denying that Halloween is one of the most challenging holidays for food-sensitive families. How can we say no? Well, the tasty treats in ‘The Paleo Kid’s Halloween’ solve this problem. Having mouth watering alternatives will mean no one has to miss out on sweet treats. The only thing your kids will be skipping out on is the sugar-induced coma.

‘The Paleo Kid’s Halloween’ makes eating healthy simple and easy during this holiday with 15 kid tested recipes for fruit gummies, solid chocolate suckers, caramel chews, and savory treats that the whole family will love! Packed full of easy Recipes for comfort foods that not only nourish, but satisfy cravings by steering your child toward protein rich meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts and healthy fats while avoiding potential allergens like gluten, grains, dairy, and legumes.
