I knew about the rule of never eating after 8pm and I was okay with that, but I just heard of the other rule of never eating before 6am. I get up at 4am every morning and by 5 I am starving. I won’t follow the rule, but now I feel guilty about it. Is anything changing? No, well except for the guilt. Why can’t there be a rule that says you must eat chocolate cake at least once a week for good mental health? I’\m sure there is a study going on about that and I would be more than happy to volunteer. I would do it in the name of science!

HAVING TROUBLE WITH BREAKFAST OPTIONS FOR YOUR GLUTEN INTOLERANT CHILD
This is the second book in the series ‘Celiac Disease In Children” – Gluten Free Breakfasts
We are all told continuously how breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the one that certainly shouldn’t be skipped, but in all honesty we probably all feel it is the easiest to skip and if it isn’t skipped it is usually the most hurried during the week.
>>>I can hear you saying “But morning’s are hectic in our house!”
We are all busy and most of us have trouble getting out of bed so everything is left until last minute. This applies to Mum, Dad and the kids. In a busy household it is usually a time of hustle and bustle, shoving and pushing, shouting and crying. The perfect harmonious breakfast is a luxury, usually only seen at weekends because during the week William can’t find his homework and what’s more is in too much of a strop to look for it. Alice is still in her wardrobe trying to decide if her socks match her hairband, Max doesn’t want to go to school and Florence…Where is Florence and what can she safely have for her breakfast that is fast, filling and nutritious before embarking on her long journey to school?
Self-serve fast food cereal breakfasts have now become a nightmare for the celiac child! Or have they?
DO NOT become obsessed with trying to prepare substitute gluten free breakfasts every day. Give yourself a break and provide some good healthy options that you know are definitely gluten free and foods that we already eat and you will no doubt have in your cupboard or fridge. You do not suddenly have to become a cordon bleu chef. Adapt and be inventive. Save the recipe creations until the weekend.
In this book you will find plenty of recipe suggestions to help busy, often harassed and now fretful mums and dads to offer a quick, delicious, nutritious and enjoyable start to the day for your celiac child. You can do it and it doesn’t need to be difficult.
I look forward to seeing you on the inside because I have so much more to share with you!
