This is the first year I have ever bought a real centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table. I’m not sure why, but for some reason I feel like a real adult. It must be good because Heather landed on it and tried to chomp a few of the flowers. Chickie approved!

This beautifully written holiday memoir follows the tradition of The Christmas Box and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It’s the story of the author’s mother, whose romantic nature and love for Christmas left a lifelong impression on her son.
Mother is a tiny woman–4’11”–except when life demands that she draw herself up to her “full height” of 11’4”. Christmas is one of those times. Father is opposed to celebrating Christmas, and every year the couple fights about it. And every year Jerry and the other kids eavesdrop nervously until their mother ensures that Christmas wins out.
When things take a turn for the worst, Mother and the boys find themselves struggling with poverty and depressed circumstances. Mother tries to make the best of Christmas at first, but when she loses the holiday spirit, her young sons decide to do something about it. In their attempt, they discover the true meaning of grace.

Grady Harp wrote :
“Not only is this a very well illustrated story with a connected story that children will love, it also offers a different angle of the relationship of cat and mouse, suggests just what is a heroic adventure (in this case it is a good deed), shares the benefits of creativity and patience and a tender little tale about the importance of family – human and animal. Children will love this book ”
Ivan Belchev from UK wrote :
“I like the illustrations inside. Great adventure book for kids. You will not lose the colorful story if you look it on the black-white kindle screen. ”
A great adventure children’s ebook : Leo’s Sunday Adventure begins early one Sunday morning when everybody is asleep. His cat, Milkshake, wakes him up and leads him to the kitchen where he finds something special. This is the beginning of Leo and Milkshake’s short adventure in the house and the back yard. This is a wonderful story for children.
The story teaches children the importance of patience and love of others (they will meet a cat that does not always chase mice) and they will learn how Leo improvises, creatively using objects that he has learnt about.
