I have seen, a couple of times, a story about people knitting sweaters for penguins to keep them warm due to an oil spill destroying their feathers. I wonder if my little Naughty might need a sweater this winter. Her feathers are very….interesting… as some of you put it, she is a work in progress. While she looks impressive, just like the days of dressing for a night on the town but not the weather, her outfit is not sensible.

Archer Loh, Seven Sisters grad and Olympic-level rider, has been groomed as a government assassin. First in her class, she’s a prime asset to her agency. The Best Way: El Camino de Santiago

Since the times of Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, Americans have headed off to Europe on odysseys of self-improvement. But until recently, Americans have not chosen ‘the best way’—El Camino de Santiago. Bill Walker (“Skywalker”) decided to undertake this 500 mile trek, that stretches from the Pyrenees in southern France to Santiago in Northwest Spain. Better yet, he did it in the ‘Holy Year’ of 2010. Fully 200,000 pilgrims were struggling on foot to make it to the Great Gothic Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. The Camino is supposed to be a religious-spiritual pilgrimage. But Walker had also been told that it was “The European Divorcee Trail.” At Walker’s side was his 18 year-old nephew, Gavin, who thrives with his special brand of Fonzie-like charm. The towel-snapping banter between the two of them is reminiscent of the frat-boy dialogue between Bill Bryson and Katz. Better yet, the two of them learn just how delightful the French really can be (except, of course, when they’re being impossible), why the Germans are almost all model pilgrims, and the tragi-glorious roots of the Spanish national character.

Die Free: A True Story of Murder, Betrayal and Miscarried Justice

When Joe Burrows was sentenced to death for the brutal murder of an elderly Illinois farmer, he asked me — a young reporter covering my first murder trial — to help tell his story. This non-fiction narrative is a harrowing account of murder, betrayal, and of a femme fatale’s wrongful accusation that put two innocent men behind bars, one of them on Illinois’ infamous Death Row. It was never my intent to prove that Burrows was innocent of murder. Rather, it was to uncover the truth, or close to it at least. After finishing this book and forming their own opinion, readers may want to ask themselves this question — “What was I doing three days ago, and who could I get to back my alibi?”

After the attack at his father’s amusement park, Daniel cannot believe what he’s capable of. He tries to lock himself away and protect those he loves… until he finds out that the monster within did not get there by accident, and the one responsible didn’t stop with him.

Sarah remembers the stories her mother used to tell her; of a place where the sun shone brightly and bird songs filled the air; a place where home wasn’t a cramped cell; a place where your own mind didn’t try to torment you. She wants nothing more than to be free of this living hell… even if that means she won’t get out alive.

Jack is fed up of chasing the serial killer with no name, whose favourite game is creating monsters out of living people. He just wants to catch him before anyone else gets hurt… but reaching that goal becomes much more dangerous than anyone could have guessed.

When these three strangers find their lives colliding on an island from which there is no escape, they must work together if they want to survive; but how do they fight against a force that doesn’t really exist?
