Christmas is always a magical time of year and this cowboy story has it written
N right into it. It is nice to read that the characters realize their actions now are more mature now then when they were teens

Voy a ir al grano de porqué este libro no ha funcionado para mí: No me gustan las historias en las cuales sus personajes tienen muchísimo diálogo interior que no se corresponde en absoluto con sus acciones.
No me ha gustado el principio (pero decidí darle una oportunidad) porque después de escapar del pueblo (ella, Annie) y no verse durante 15 años, la primera conversación choca muchísimo, es como si se hubiesen visto el día anterior y el protagonista(Carson) “lee” en sus ojos mucho más de lo que ella dice.
Otra cosita más: a pesar de haberlo pasado fatal cuando su esposa falleció, en cuanto Carson ve a Annie decide que lo que sentía por su esposa no era amor…en serio? Que mal!
He dejado de leer en el 63% del libro y aún no me ha quedado claro porqué los protagonistas actúan de la manera que lo hacen, en un párrafo dicen una cosa, después dicen otra, y no lo tengo claro… ella no es feliz, ella no se asienta en ningún sitio (salvo en su matrimonio sin amor durante 10 años…), ella no puede quedarse en el pueblo pero es donde únicamente siente que tiene un hogar, y sigue y sigue…
*SPOILERS*

A ella no le gustan los niños porque no sabe cómo actuar delante de ellos pero…qué fácil es interactuar con el hijo del prota…en serio? Su marido 10 años estafando y ella ni idea…en serio? De dónde pensaba que salía el dinero?, No piensa querer nunca a nadie más para no sufrir cuando pierda a esa persona…en serio? Lleva 15 años sin hablarle a la hermana y lo arreglan en 3 líneas, pero no 2 ni 4, no, 3 líneas, y por supuesto está la línea de “ahora necesita un amigo y no un amante”, pero esa actitud dura 3 líneas, y por supuesto después viene el arrepentimiento…”no deberíamos haberlo hecho”….ohhhh…algo más? Aquí lo dejé!

Annie kommt nach 15 Jahren in Manhattan und einer schlimmen Scheidung wieder nach Marietta zurück .
Sie besitzt ein altes Haus, sonst nichts. Womit sie nicht gerechnet hat, ist Carson , der sofort Gefühle in ihr erweckt, die sie nicht haben möchte. Sie hat ihm schon einmal sehr weh getan, und will das nicht nochmals tun. Aber kann sie in der Stadt bleiben, die sie nie wieder sehen wollte ?

Diese Geschichte spielt in den letzten Wochen vor Weihnachten und ist ganz gut zu lesen. Natürlich ist das Ende vorhersehbar , und es gibt auch ein Happy End . Die Entwicklung der Charaktere ist jedoch kaum vorhanden , es gibt keine Spannung in dieser Story . Daher nur für echte Weihnachtsfanatiker zu empfehlen .

Carson Scott was heart broken at 18 when Annie Prudhomme left Marietta, Montana. Fifteen years later he's shocked to see her working as a waitress at the local diner. Seeing her brings back all the feelings he had for her.

Annie is back in her hometown even though she swore she would never go back. She didn't want to go back, but she didn't have any other place to go after her marriage ended. She divorced her husband when he was convicted of running a Ponzi scheme on the elderly. He was arrested and everything she has was taken by the FBI to be sold so the money could pay back some of the funds her husband conned people out of. All she owns is her family ranch in Montana so she moves there. She gets a job in a local diner and sees Carson Scott who was her first love. Carson is now a widower with a young son, Evan.

I liked the characters in A Cowboy for Christmas. Annie was a bit hard to like at first because she seemed selfish running off without thinking about how it would affect anyone else. And how could she leave Carson? Carson is a kind, patient man who still loves Annie but gives her the time and space she needs to figure out if she wants to stay and be with him. Being an attractive cowboy just made him perfect in my opinion. He is just trying to live his life and raise his son alone after the death of his wife. Annie was really trying to start her life over but never planned on staying in Marietta. She gets her life together and realizes that dreams can change, so she thinks that maybe she doesn't need to move on.

I wanted to read a Christmas romance with a cowboy. A Cowboy for Christmas was exactly what I was looking for.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a holiday romance.
