In a tank top and khaki shorts, with muscles rippling, it's easy to see why female customers are flocking for Rick's attention.

Sarah's mother pushes her to give this more-than-attractive gardener a little encouragement, which is exactly why Sarah isn't the least bit tempted. She sets her well-meaning, but meddlesome, mother straight. "I am not interested in a dirty, sweaty gardener."

Misunderstandings lead to self realizations

I always enjoy a quick and easy read, and this book is that. The characters are well developed and believable. The two main people Rick and Sarah, both have issues, just like we all do. Both handle problems and honesty in perhaps the wrong way, so much like most of us. However, they get through it, given a bit of time and helpful nudges from caring friends. I haven't read this author before, but do look forward to reading more of her work.

A great easy read, a love story for any age group. The fact that it has religious values Rick didn't seam overly fussed that he was deceitful and lies through his relationship with Sarah but no one is perfect, it shows a true human side and not perfection which nobody is. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Sarah Winston's mother is always trying to set her up with a man, so when she does it at the new discount landscaping store, Sarah says she isn't interested in a dirty, sweaty gardener. Embarrassingly, the man hears her. She ends up dating him to prove she doesn't really think like that. Rick turns out to be everything she's looking for in a man, but things fall apart when she finds out he's conspired with her mother and lied.

This was a quick, interesting book, but, since it is a Christian romance, and Rick is a strong Christian, I couldn't understand why he thought it was okay to lie. Everyone makes mistakes, but he only seems remorseful that he got caught and hurt Sarah in the process. Never does he admit he sinned and ask forgiveness of God. The ending lines are also too syrupy or hokey and a bit awkward. Still, I enjoyed the story and thought it was rather well-written. I would recommend it.

I read this book when I was home sick from church. It gave me something to do. The story was wonderful and held my attention throughout the book. I kept reading more, because I had to find out what was going to happen next.

Sarah has had it with dating corporate types. After her last boyfriend used her ideas to earn a promotion and her boss listened to the men but paid no attention to what the women had to say, she quit her job. She loves her career choice as a research analyst. She has a unique talent of being able to read and remember sometimes obscure things which helps her to spot trends, look at data, and analyze acquisitions. When Sarah and her manipulative mother are shopping for plants to landscape around her parents new home and her mother tells her she ought to ask the cute guy helping them for a date. Sarah is so embarrassed, especially when he over hears her mother and asks her out. But all is not what it seems. Meddling mother's and not so honest landscapers and a new job make for an interesting read. But when God is in your corner and you ask for his guidance you can't go wrong
