For this reason, I've gone to Paleo recipes when I entertain. This book has a wide variety of recipes to suit any tastes. I tried the meatloaf right off since my family members are all meatloaf lovers and it was excellent. I also served the Roast Chicken with Pesto which was very well received.
I love the bonus recipes for making your own soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. I gave it four stars because the homemade bread crumbs alternative wasn't listed under the bonus recipes. When I made the homemade meatloaf I had to search around to find how to make the bread crumbs, which was in another recipe.
All in all, an excellent book I recommend this book to all meat and fish lovers.

However, I won't award it the 5th star because there is no mention at all about the quality of meat or fish to be used! For all author states in this book, it would be alright to go to your local grocery and purchase, say, farm-raised fish or feedlot fed beef for these recipes. It is not; those are not natural foods. Our paleolithic ancestors ate no flesh foods that were produced that way. To eat a steak, for example, from a cow that spent its life in a feedlot ingesting corn, hormones, and antibiotics in filthy conditions is not to eat natural meat. (Cattle naturally eat grass and live on open prairies.) The author is properly concerned about unnatural ingredients in, say, worcestershire sauce, but seems oblivious to the much more important point about eating fats and proteins from natural sources.
