L'autore

Boyko Georgiev Ovcharov is an MBA graduate from the University of Buckingham, the United Kingdom (2002). In 2003 he also completed his scientific (MPhil) research work in the field of ICT in view of societal and economic change at the same academic institution. Besides, he holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, Bulgaria (1999). Regarding his professional experience, Mr. Ovcharov has been working for more than 10 years now, incl. within the Business Development Departments at some international ICT companies in Bulgaria. At present, he is a full-time lecturer in management and marketing, business and general English for students and professionals, including exams and certificates preparatory courses, such as: SAT, TOEFL, GMAT, FCE, CAE, CPE etc. Life after Life has been Boyko's first/debut book, whereas Wandering Feelings is his second one, a heartfelt novel. Yet, in the near future he envisages publishing some more and bigger titles due to the fairly good reception so far. Acknowledgements to all people who have encouraged this author!

A Philosophical Look At Love

In Boyko Ovcharov's "Wandering Feelings," boy meets girl, girl meets boy, and they both fall in love. A familiar tale indeed, yet this book is a far cry from that. The boy's family is threatened by and resentful of his extreme education, sophistication, and intelligence. The girl's self-centered, avaricious parents are basically moochers, who deprive their daughter of her rightful inheritance. The question, then, quickly becomes can two lonely souls, fused together by their shared familial neglect, intelligence, and moral sensibilities survive? From the start, we are pulled along with these wounded souls, who, in spite of bad twists and turns, still take tremendous pleasure in each other's company, showing us that true love is simply that. Intermixed throughout, are some lovely, sweet scenes, such as buying a teddy bear for his new lady-love, after he had "felt his heart for the first time". And as we keep reading, Ocharov's highly philosophical and poetic, lyrical style makes us ponder about the deeper, more meaningful things in life. A lightweight summer read it is not, but something more lasting, it most certainly is. Definitely, a recommended read!

Reading that story, I again and again had to stop myself thinking: that is my life I am reading about. Amazing. Aspects of life.
They had everything, a home, a career path and support and most importantly, they had each other and loved each other. But their parents were extremely selfish and had not much love for their children and so made them down wherever they could.
Should every one of us not look forward and do something good for others? Something that remain in time, something true. And for what it's worth, never speak negative to children and speak them down.
Life is a hurricane sometimes? My life once more stood in front of me. How could that be? That couple was made down from their parents, but they found their way out. Not all do. The negativity stands always in the way what they have heard for years.
Future. I liked him saying: It is the thing that always comes, no matter how long the very waiting or expectation would take.
I recommend that book to everyone. It is an aspect of life.

A heart-touching story!

I started to like Wandering Feelings from the very beginning of the book. Mr Ovcharov's writing style is wonderful and poetic. It touched me deep in my heart. I loved the way he cared about all small details. I enjoyed the way I was losing myself in his emotional descriptions and words. It was like reading a very delicate poem. I personally, as a son and a father at the same time, could say that Wandering Feelings taught me so much. I really hated those parents who tried everything to put their children down. I understood that it does not matter what kind of father and mother we had: we should learn from their mistakes and do our best to build a great and happy family. Boyko's work is both philosophical and close to human feelings. Great book! I would highly recommend it to everyone.

“Wandering Feelings” by author Boyko Ovcharov is an enchanting yet terrifying true love story that was impossible to stop reading.

It begins with a young couple from Bulgaria who meet and fall madly in love. She is very pretty, and he is a tall handsome young man. Both are highly educated. The only problem is that his father and her mother who are eminent members of the Bulgarian Communist Party are violently against their relationship as are the rest of their family members.

These unfeeling parents and siblings conspire to take everything away from the loving couple and plan to plunge them into absolute and dismal poverty. They use their power, money and influence to destroy them wherever they go.

To make matters worse, these fiends ensure that the couple never has a peaceful moment with constant harassment from their paid-off/badly influenced neighbors and constant bouncing from one place to live to another making sure they are unable to find work or even afford to rent a home.

This couple goes through 10 years of “hell” only able to live by bouncing back and forth between their family’s flats where they are constantly thrown out just as they planned it.

In one particularly poignant exchange with her mother, the young girl is thrown out and told “Now get together your stuff with that pauper, get out of my property! Off you go!” Very sadly, she leaves with only a small bag containing “her most valuable things” only to end up at the home of his father and sister to be abased and abused again.

This is a true story of how love obstacles become opportunities to survive.

Author Boyko Ovcharov did a fantastic job of weaving this horrific story of familial betray and exposing the many techniques of abusive, rich families that wish to crush rebellious and idealistic children who are not following their parent’s self-serving wishes.

I truly enjoyed reading this novel and highly recommend it to all adult readers. It contains many important lessons about the international pervasiveness of the familial abuse of power and money. It seems not much has changed since Romeo and Juliet. 5 Stars!!! A Great Read!!! Don’t Miss It!!!

I reveled in the emotional connections that were formed between the nameless couple, but was fully satisfied as their relationship unfolded. Through the trials and tribulations of a difficult love affair, I root for the pair's eventual happiness. A happiness that could only be realized in their private moments - yet realized, nonetheless.

Ovcharov has a love affair with words, as he uses them to serenade the pages of this short read. I've always said that I love words and their effects on me, Wandering Feelings is no exception. Our couple meet and fall in love, against the wishes of their parents. Their love thrives and grows, in spite of and along with the hatred of family. Ovcharov's descriptive manner or relating emotions and setting is absolutely beautiful. As the pair spends time in Europe, and travel through the rich historical settings, he uses setting as a guide for their relationship. Relying on trigger points to spark either's thoughts, reminiscing on the life ahead and even the life that has already passed.

I could read Wandering Feelings over and over again. This story spoke to my love for splendid tales, told in a beautiful and fulfilling manner. I badly wanted to live in this book, to experience the richness of the couple's love and travels. And even in their challenges against society, I wanted to badly to set things right for them. My emotions rose and dipped, I was pleased at their perseverance yet frustrated by the reach of their families hatred. Through it all, the couple's devotion did not waiver. This is love for me. With the use of language and a flow that is both fresh and powerful, Boyko Ovcharov's tale of forbidden love is true art in a book. I recommend Wandering Feelings to anyone that not only enjoys a good love story, but anyone that appreciates thought-provoking language and culture - anyone that knows how to appreciate true love.

Wandering Feelings is a sensitive and touching tale from Boyko Ovcharov which follows a young couple through the early stages of romance through to the trials and tribulations faced in their early years together.
There are times when life throws hardship at everyone, but when the tough times are the result of needless obstacles thrust in your path by those who should really be helping you, and loving you, it is enough to break the strongest romance.
Not for our couple, who remain nameless through the whole book ... a subtlety that the reader barely notices. A clever technique which leaves the reader matching up the characters with similar people from their own lives ... with similar emotions from their own lives.
However, I do suspect that, as the book is based on truth, the leading couple may be Boyko and Marieta.
An enjoyable read, written with the grace that you would not expect from somebody working in a foreign language. Five bright stars.

"Wandering Feelings" is about star-crossed lovers growing up in Bulgaria. Family attitudes obstruct their marriage. Readers are treated to a romance that's stifled by gross economics. The young man goes to England for a better education. He manages to rendezvous with his lady friend in the UK.
___During the interlude in the UK, the author (Boyko Ovcharov) describes their shared happiness as they visit famous landmarks. Both speak several languages, and they appreciate the allusions to current artists and the classic artists of the past. The young lovers represent the generation after the demise of the Soviet Union. They seek new horizons and opportunities, but their parents are wrapped in the communist past.
___When they return to Bulgaria, they don't have the wherewithal to rent or own a place of their own. Marriage will never happen unless their parents condone it. The fulfillment of their romance may never occur.
___As the author says, "Art brings kindness and beauty that stay with us for good. It is an expression of the most cherished and dearest truths and feelings."
