I want to live in a world with Sophie where she can see and talk to ghosts! It sounds so interesting! But when she applies for a job with Dr. Callahan, optometrist, she is surprised to find out he has a ghost too, only his isn't very nice or helpful. However, as the book progresses, we meet a whole group of people who have ghosts attached to them and are gathered for a self-help meeting. Between all these ghosts, is it any wonder there are problems? A man dies in a nearby office and then brings himself back to life and sees ghosts. Dr. Callahan's (Cal) ghost becomes violent and destructive. Somehow a mother of a patient notices all the ghostly activity and gives Sophie her card. It seems Mrs. Wiley is a medium and helps Sophie sort things out. Aside from the ghosts, Sophie is falling for her boss. While they go on a hiking date, the jealous ghost that follows Cal around becomes enraged and things come to a terrifying climax.

Sophie's ghost is a great friend to her, while Cal's ghost is a constant disturbance. Read how Sophie and Mrs. Wiley get things straightened out when witchcraft is added to the mix. Find out the secret Cal has kept from Sophie. There are so many interesting things to read about in this book that I was sad when it was over. It was a book that kept my attention and I didn't want to put down! I really enjoyed the story!

Really enjoyed this book so much I've bought the second one. It isn't complicated, the writing is easy and there aren't too many characters to keep up with. The chemistry between Marmi and Sophie is not hindered by the fact Marmi is a ghost and I love his dry wit. Looking forward to seeing how the romance between Sophie and Cal affects the relationship between Sophie and Marmi. All in all a nice little read.

Nearly broke, Sophie goes for a job interview with an optometrist, Dr. H.U. Callahan. He hires her immediately, and the strangeness begins.

Sophie has a ghost friend, Marmaduke, whom she calls Marmi. Marmi is a proper British gentleman who was killed by a runaway car in the early 1900s. Marmi truly cares for Sophie; he has a bit of a crush on her, but he does want what's best for her. Cal has a ghost with a crush as well; Moonflower, however, does NOT have his best interests at heart. Moonflower is so jealous of ANY woman who gets anywhere near him -- patients, mothers of patients, a string of receptionists, young women, old women, it doesn't matter -- she creates havoc in his office. Sophie and Cal are immediately attracted to each other, and things only get crazier with Moonflower.

Through a series of events and incidents, we find out why Moonflower is still here -- and it's not good. A medium offers to help and things come to a head -- sorry if that's vague, I'm trying to avoid a spoiler. Just suffice it to say there are plenty of little twists, turns and possibilities with this book.

My one negative comment, and the reason I'm not giving this book a 5-star review, is Cal's secret. If you read Keep Me Ghosted, you'll understand what I mean. It was simply an unnecessary little blurb as far as I was concerned. It didn't change the story-line significantly, it certainly didn't improve the book, and IMHO, it could have just been left out altogether.

Sex is referred to, but no explicit sex scenes occur in the book. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a light, fun little read.
