Heart warming and sweet, this book was a pleasure to read. Trying to make it on her own, and keep her two boys togehter, Lorna goes through anything she can to make it so. Along the way, she finds a new man but is scared to trust. This type of story has been told before, but this one is worth a read. I read this book a while back, but still feel fuzzy warm feelings when I reflect on it. Give it a try.

This was a very touching and heart-warming story. I love the fact that we got to watch this slow budding romance grow into this beautiful & wonderful romance story. It doesn't start out that way, though. Far from it, in fact. In the beginning, Emma & Clint are totally livid with one another, so much so, that I really expected it to come to an all out physical battle.

But then again, things aren't always what they appear to be. And in time; these two finally realize that they were so wrong about the other in the beginning. The author took the time to really get into these two characters past lives and what makes them the way they are now. So much character depth, and that's what impressed me the most. Of course all of the twists and turns that were thrown into the mix, was both really exciting and nail biting, also.

I even loved all the quirky secondary characters, too. Gage really intrigued me though. He seems more like a renegade, rather than a former cop. I would love to know what drives him, and the real reason he came home...and decided to stay. I also found Harriet to be someone I'd like to know better, and what drives her to be the person she is today.

I had never read anything by this author before, but after reading this book, which was so good, I've decided I'm going to be following this story for however long it lasts.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

Pues este es una de esas historias en las que, a pesar de que son un poco empalagosas y recaen en el melodrama y las repeticiones (cansinas, por cierto, de porqué los protagonistas no pueden estar juntos, sigo pensando que con un par de veces por si el autor quiere enfatizar es suficiente, el resto de las veces es un insulto a la inteligencia del lector, por muy pedante que suene…) puede estar entretenida y continuas leyendo. Hasta que se supera tu tolerancia por lo absurdo y el autor te pide encarecidamente que dejes de pensar racionalmente para poder continuar creyéndote lo que te cuenta. Una cosa es el melodrama y otra la ciencia ficción, y esta historia está más cerca de lo segundo.

Si se va a abusar del melodrama y de los personajes planos de cartón piedra, al menos que sean cosas creíbles y reales, porque la premisa en la que se apoya la autora para construir el super melodrama es totalmente imposible. Es insultante.
Me rindo, pensaba terminarlo por lo poco que quedaba pero me niego a invertir más tiempo en el libro.

En que universo paralelo podemos creernos que después de un divorcio, en el cual, el juez falla a favor del marido y ella, embarazada de gemelos, es acusada de infidelidad ya que el test de paternidad resulta NEGATIVO, es decir, que los gemelos NO son del marido, como decía, en que universo paralelo este tipo (el marido) consigue una visita para poder ver a uno de los gemelos al que quiere reclamar como su hijo… una visita y fecha para otro juicio y para otro test de paternidad…increíble, menos mal que el vecino del quinto no quería al gemelo restante, que si no…ah! Y por si fuera poco, como sólo quiere al hijo porque si no, no puede heredar de su tío, que le pide un heredero antes de final de año (aquí ya los ojos no los podía volver más!) después de cobrar la herencia piensa deshacerse del niño…venga ya! Malo malísimo que es el hombre…yo creo que hasta tiene cola y cuernos! Si esto no es melodrama del barato…no sé que será!
