She called me the day after she read it and said two things. One: I *NEED* to read this book (I almost went into physics). Two: She NEEDS book 2. Now.
After three days of urging, I started book one.
And didn't put it down for long at all until I was done.
Wonderfully written, he really makes the characters come to life. This man has a brilliant mind, and a wonderful way of putting the pieces together to make a very compelling story.
Five stars, and if I could, I'd give it six.

Day Eight is also deeply thought-provoking, breaking new ground on themes on artificial intelligence and technological advancement in a way that few big name sci-fi series (at least those that I've read) barely scratch. And if sci-fi isn't your thing, give this a chance, as Mazza incorporates these themes in an way that is entirely approachable for a wider audience - by the end of it I guarantee you'll be in awe of some of the ideas that are raised in the story.
So whether you are looking for a gripping page-turner or for a fresh sci-fi story, I'd highly recommend giving this series a go!

The main problem I had with the book was that it was too short -- it doesn't feel like anything substantial happens in the plot, and some important cliffhangers that occur very early on (say, Chapter 1) don't get resolved. But it just makes me all the more curious about what will happen next!

I've just bought the second book which I'm about to start and expect I'll be buying the third part before long!

Have you ever had a job that promised so much but turned out to be monotonous noting of an existiance? That's Trevor, and he's just getting by day by day. All the man wanted was a few free movies to kill time. Little does he know, that small act of piracy would set him on the path to one of the most amazing stories ever told.
Truth be told, I originally got The first book free via the Lending Library, and I cannot tell you how pleased I was with it. I read "The Reborn" in about 2 days, bought "Of Mice and Hitmen" that afternoon. (Which was my favorite of the 3 ) and finished it that night. Then I waited abit impatiently for about two weeks for the "The Spiritual Singularity" And I literally could not put it down. I went to bed so late last night 3-31-12 that I almost was late for work today. And I couldn't be more pleased. Every word is perfect, and blends the right amount of description with out being to wordy. It's so powerful that I could literally TASTE the air in which he describes.
The ending of "The Reborn" is the perfect cliffhanger that makes you HAVE to buy the second book, and I can tell you that Mazza never ever leaves you thinking "Ehh...."
For $0.99 this book is a steal, I would gladly pay $15.99 and never regret one penny of it.
But don't take my word for it, if you have a Kindle, take that money you would have spent on some stupid app that you might use for 30 seconds and step into an adventure of monumental proportions.
