I enjoyed this book, first due to the original setting of the plot and secondly because it was a well-written time travel adventure. The two main characters were believable even considering their unusual situation.
I particularly liked the ending! Love conquers all , brought to a new dimension!! A good read!

Nineteenth century Daniel meets twenty first century nurse Aimee in 1810. A fun adversary relationship blooms into true love with a few complications along the way. This is a wonderful time travel romance that will keep you glued to most every page. I loved it and enjoyed learning about some of the native tribes in the Yellowstone area. This is a good read.

Wish I could give this book 10 stars. This is the first book I have read by the author, but I don’t plan to stop until I have read them all. The story and pace kept me enthralled and I read the book in one sitting. It is well-written with fantastic character development. If you love time travel romance you have to give Peggy Henderson’s book Yellowstone Heart Song a read. I’m off now to find the next book in this series. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Two of my favourite genres are westerns and science fiction, particularly time travel science fiction (provided it’s well done). This story combines both those interests. It also combines more than my preference for romance content, but probably no more than, say, Zane Grey.

But the important thing is that it is a really good, well-written story. The time travel is limited to the protagonist being unexpectedly taken back 200 years, and subsequent switching backwards and forwards a couple of times. It mainly explores the problems for the protagonist in coping with living in the past, but avoids any issues of changing the past. I really enjoyed the story and thoroughly recommend it.

Yellowstone Heart Song setzt so unvermittelt im Geschehen ein, dass man davon praktisch ab der ersten Seite gefesselt ist. Die Notaufnahme-Krankenschwester Aimee findet sich mitten im Yellowstone-Park im Jahr 1810 wieder. Einer ihrer Patienten hat sie kurzerhand dorthin versetzt, nachdem sie ihm von ihrer Outdoor-Leidenschaft erzählt hat. Alles, was sie weiß, ist, dass er sie in 3 Monaten dort trifft, um sie wieder in ihrer Zeit zurückzuschicken. Bis dahin soll sie sich zu seinem Sohn Daniel durchschlagen, der dort als Trapper in einer einsamen Hütte in der Wildnis lebt, und von den Zeitreisen seines Vaters keine Ahnung hat. Aimee wandert also los und es dauert nicht lange, ehe sie in ernste Schwierigkeiten gerät, aus denen ihr natürlich nur besagter Daniel heraushelfen kann...
Insgesamt hat mir das Buch sehr gut gefallen. Den ganzen Text hindurch fiebert man mit der romantischen Lovestory mit. Die Autorin bleibt nah an den beiden Hauptcharakteren Aimee und Daniel, aus deren Sicht die Geschichte erzählt wird. Beide sind starke Persönlichkeiten, die auf Augenhöhe agieren. Es ist also keine Geschichte a la "Naives unerfahrenes Dummchen trifft auf anbetungswürdigen Helden", sondern eher "Zwei gezeichnete Sturköpfe krachen aufeinander und lernen sich lieben". Zwar werden auch jede Menge Klischees aus dem Romantik-Genre bedient, aber als Fans solcher Liebesgeschichten gehört etwas Kitsch eben einfach dazu.
Romantisch, herzerwärmend und süchtigmachend!
