There is a fine dividing line between sanity and insanity. Tiffany Morgan can't be sure if she has stepped over that line.

A mysterious driver of an SUV mows down a young woman. Accident, or deliberate hit and run, she cannot be sure. In fact, she can't be sure about anything in her life. She awakes in the hospital, only to realize she has no memory of her former life. The contents of her wallet draw her on a journey of discovery, together with a handwritten note, signed “D” and inviting her to a meeting.

The journey she takes leads to a bizarre turn of events on the information-super-highway and unexplained visions that lead her to think she is losing her mind.

Tiffany's past contains a dark secret that is haunting her. She is desperate to find the key to unlock her memory. Maybe “D” has the answers to end her nightmare.

I have just finished reading 'Amnesia of the Heart'. It was a fun, interesting and riveting read. Once I started reading I just had to finish. Would recommend to anyone who likes a fast paced short read.

Suspense and Fantasy

This story was quite a delight to read. It combines elements of fantasy, romance and thriller. If you like The Twilight Zone, this story is for you. The story is dense and descriptive. The descriptions and action are well balanced. You care about the heroine starting at the first page and want to follow her journey to its conclusion. The writer did a good job there. As soon as Tiffany Morgan's predicament is made clear, the writer starts painting a picture of a world that is both exciting, because as it's a fantasy world it's new and absorbing as you want to know what's next. The suspense keeps you captivated until the end. What I liked most was the originality of the fantasy parts of the story, the journey into computer bits. I can't go into them, so as not to spoil the surprises, but they make the story a fast and rewarding read. The romantic parts and the happy end make this a story I would recommend to everybody.

This is the first book I've read that actually had two versions of the same story. One for UK and commonwealth and one for me I guess.:) Although it kind of messed up my kindle percentage of 'book read' it was interesting to have that choice. This story starts off with a woman not knowing who she is and it didn't quite hold my attention. Once her mysteries start to unravel, I stopped slouching and paid more attention to the story.

This book will take you farther than you think, almost paranormal/fantasy in fact so don't expect the normal. The cover is actually quite right on with how this story goes. Not my favorite story ever, but not a bad story either. I can't put much in the review because the twists start coming fairly early. It's like when the Matrix first came out and everyone asked what the Matrix was about. You couldn't say a whole lot.

Interesting book nonetheless. Enjoy it for a light shorter read.

In the main, I thought this was a decent enough story. But I hadn't paid attention to the very first line saying "this is the American version click here for the English version". This meant that when I got half way through the book I was very surprised that it finished and started all over again.
Being British, I am used to reading American books, however the British version, in the first few pages, refers to windshields, parking lots, trashcans, tires, curbs, crosswalks and sidewalks, so I'm not quite sure what the point of doing two versions was.
So, an OK story, but half the length you think it will be. I'm not sure whether the 50 pages stated is for one version or both together. The one story is about 700 locations.

Declan Conner has once again created a suspenseful, imaginative landscape through which he delights the senses of the romantic mystery fan. The journey is plotted lush with detail, while still keeping the fast-paced, on-the-edge thrill of a master craftsman. The only thing missing is MORE! Highly recommend this very enjoyable short story.
