Professor Horace Thompson and his team have just successfully completed a world-changing experiment in the newly legitimized science of Parapsychology. Using electronic devices that boost the mind's weak ESP signals, they successfully communicated thoughts over a distance of 56 miles.

Suddenly their world changes even more. Their experiment opens a crack between dimensions and the form of a huge god-like alien temporarily materializes in front of them. Before he disappears, this apparently peaceful being informs them that his advanced race, the "Teachers", desires to not only once again assist mankind, as they have in the ancient past, but to also support them against their common interdimensional enemy.

What does it all mean? Two ancient and diametrically opposed alien civilizations have for millennia chosen the planet Earth to be the ideological arena where they confront each other. One side champions Law and a society based on unchanging Absolutes; the other promotes Liberty, License, and Free Choice.

Throughout the ages of Man, we, like unsuspecting pieces on a chess board, have been chosen to be the PLAYERS in their deadly game. But a change is taking place, one which will force every inhabitant of Earth to choose active membership in one side or the other. The alien Overlords are suddenly moving out of the shadows and our planet is about to become the devastated battleground - the Arena - where they will openly face each other in final and ultimate conflict. And God help the human who gets in their way or who chooses the wrong side!

This manuscript garnered the "Alpha Award" (presented to a new author of fiction) at the Sandy Cove Christian Writers Conference in Northeast, MD.

Robert Dennis (Bob) Wilson resides in Sacramento, CA with his wife, Joyce, and 2 very energetic, dapple long-haired dachshunds. They have 4 married children and 5 grandsons, scattered from coast to coast. Besides writing novels, Bob is a singer-songwriter and a scroll saw artist. He works full time telecommuting from home as a programmer/Report Designer for an international transportation corporation. Before meeting the love of his life, Bob actually received a BABE degree in college: that is, a "Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education" from Washington Bible College, Lanham, MD. He has worked in various support roles for churches, missions, and para-church organizations. Bob continues to have an active role in multiple local churches. Bob also has published a Spiritual Warfare fantasy series, “The Dragon’s Back Trilogy”. The first two volumes, "THE POISON OF THORNS" and “MY BROTHER’S KEEPER” are available in both e-book and paperback formats. He is currently working on the end of this trilogy, “SHOSHANNA’S SONG”. I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Absolutely amazing story that I couldn't put down! In a year when Awakening and Armageddon go hand in hand... this book unfolds a story that leaves nothing to the imagination. Well thought out characters, scientific exploration, alien encounters, ancient civilizations, and a little Spiritual intervention in the Biblical sense... are just some of what the reader will find in store for them.

Doc who has his close encounter years before is given a path to follow in order to fulfill his destiny. With Bev, his devoted wife and colleague by his side, they embark on finding a group of "right" people to work on this project with them. Funded by unknown supporters, the ETA/PAX program is unveiled with David, an Electronic Engineer and Sashi, the daughter of a fellow Professor playing key rolls. Their success in an experiment to connect on a physic level not only opens a door to fame, but opens a door to Other worldly beings who have been trying to contact us for years. But are these beings Good or Evil? As there is another force also living and communicating with humans who considers these beings Evil and will stop at nothing to thwart the mission to spread Peace. Action packed and full of twists this story will keep you in its grips until the very end! Bring on Book 2!

This is a definite must read for anyone loving Paranormal Sci-fi thrillers. A real who done it, that will have you questioning the very faith of the world we know!

Once a door is opened to the other side, a parallel universe, students under the tutalage of Dr. Horace Thompson (para-psych extraordinaire) meet a race of aliens called `The Teachers'. In the 2nd meeting the plasma built corporeal form of `Pedagog' is broadcast for the rest of the world to see.

While David and Sashi (lovers and guardians of the gate) are learning from the `Teachers' and having the lessons published (in David's case), some of his colleagues are either spreading or learning the `Word of the Seed' - the doctrine of the body opposing the `Teachers'.

A Manichean battle of good versus evil ensues. Nicely disguised by the author so one never really knows which side is the true nemesis - unless you understand that science has perpetually been frowned upon because it offers concretes, expunges faith and was linked to the 'black arts' of the Middle Ages, and that those religious occurrences that Christians are familiar with (in this book, made in direct reference but presented in an oblique manner) usually happen to the `faithful' side. Then one can easily guess who's who.

An admixture of sci-fi with the right amount of mystery and humanism. Don't let the `religious' aspect of the story concern you much, it's not unbearably overwhelming.

The 2nd installment of the series `Plans' has yet to be released on Kindle, but once released will likely detail the events and tribulations of `Hell on Earth' (Book of Revelations)... and in that one I expect a heavy hit of religion... which means I personally won't be going for it.

Couldn't get into this book. There was too much going on right off the start and nothing to grab onto. No real story line and like starting mid thoughts or sentences I may try again on a rainy day after all the housework is done.

The premise looks interesting. A science experiment opens a portal to another dimension and brings an ancient war between good and evil to earth. My problem with the book is is the overwrought description that bogs down the story and at times makes it hard to know what is going on. It is a pity since I'm sure there is a good story under there.
