The Shadow Empire (Book 3 of The Plantation) Kindle Edition
THE PLANTATION SERIES - BOOK 3
They come from a noble legacy of wonder and discovery. They cut through wormholes, portals and anomalies like shadows skipping across a celestial sea.
The hooded ones appear in an instant and disappear in a fraction. Every sleeping child fears a glimpse of their ghastly faces in their darkest dreams.
The Shadow Empire is dying. Their struggle for survival has reached a final battlefield in the forests of a primitive planet called Earth.
Freya, the hunted one, the most wanted fugitive in the history of the empire, wants to make everything right in her own dying world. She feels rage flowing through her fingertips. She feels her broken heart hungering savage ways.
She must become like nothing the world has ever known to save Damian, to save the floating city, to save Finn and Pip and little Tobi too, but with war looming, will she be able to save her own soul?

I love Freya! I am loving her new powers and her new family. I can honestly say I have no clue who's team I am on. One minute I am team Damian, then he pisses me off and I am team Finn....I actually caught myself on occasion being Team Sliman :)
Great series!
10 days of planning to get Damian out of trouble. Problem is, he's in Plantation 15, where security is the tightest, and they're the best armed. If they manage to get in, how are they going to get out?
With Pips help, they make a map of the plantation, and form a plan, but, it seems, as with everything else they plan, things end up going differently.
Slight spoilers follow. Nothing that gives away the end of the book though. Proceed at your own risk...
The story then skips ahead about 8 months. Freya is now a new mother, and the saviors are now living in space, on Exodus L21. They've got jobs, and a life of somewhat comfort. The humans they're living with don't know how special the saviors are, most of all, they don't know what Freya is, for fear of them being kicked off Exodus L21. Then a message comes through to the Commander...it's the Aliens...and they want Freya, and if she doesn't return to earth, and give herself up, they will blow up Plantation 8, Freya's home plantation, and all it's inhabitants.
As we all know Freya, we know she won't let this happen, so of course, she has a plan.
While devising her plan, she hears Zolkon wants to speak with her. Zolkon gives her some information that could prove to be extremely useful...she could increase her army to become almost unstoppable..but will she trust him?
Freya, Damian, Finn, and the rest have to learn to trust each other, as well as outside forces in order to beat the Aliens. Once they make their decision they can't turn back. Will they make the right choice? Will their choices have devastating consequences? There's only one way to find out!
Finally, the love triangle seems to be dissipating in this book, and there is very little romance in the book. Freya struggles to hold on to Damian, which really irritates me, as the story line really doesn't show how she loves him...it's just not believable at all.
Tobias, Freya's child, I believe is going to be a thing of wonders, of course, as soon as you find out she's pregnant, anyone who's read sci-fi books (or sci-fi shows like "V" or "falling skies" or others) figures out what's gonna happen with this kid, though the ending of the book ends in a cliffhanger with him, you should expect to see it coming.
This book, along with the first two, could stand to see a good editor. Man I'm tired of saying this. COMMAS!! COMMAS ARE OUR FRIENDS! The sentences at least made better sense in this book, I didn't find myself rereading sentences saying 'that word should not be in there, or you're missing a word here' as often, but I did make a few notes on the kindle on a few sentences, still. These books would be great if they had a professional editing done on them.
As it stands, it's still a pretty good read, and I'll be starting the next book, 'Beyond The River of Time' shortly.
